The curl is the game

In Efectazo the shape of your swipe is the shape of the shot. Swipe in a straight line and the ball flies straight. Bend your swipe out to the right and back in, and the ball sets off right and curls back left. Bend it the other way for the opposite curl. The more pronounced the arc, the more spin, and the more the ball bends late in its flight.

Why the ball bends (the short physics)

A spinning ball drags the air around with it. On one side the ball's surface moves with the oncoming air, on the other it moves against it, and the pressure difference pushes the ball sideways. That sideways push is the Magnus effect, the same reason real free kicks swerve. Efectazo simulates it every frame, together with air drag (so the ball slows down and the curl shows up more at the end of the flight) and topspin dip.

On later career levels there's also wind, shown at the top of the screen, which you have to aim against.

Three curl shots to master

1. The far-post bender

Start your swipe aiming just outside the wall, then curve it back toward the far post. This is the classic "around the wall" free kick and the most reliable shot from wide angles.

2. Over the wall, near post

Swipe longer (higher) with only a slight arc, so the ball clears the jumping wall and drops under the bar on the keeper's side. Too long and it sails over.

3. The outside-foot swerve

Aim inside the far post and curl it away from the keeper. It's riskier, because a big arc can drag it wide, but keepers on later levels are slower to react to it.

Coins reward the good stuff: extra for a top-corner finish, extra for a shot with heavy curl, and more for streaks. Want the technique in depth? Read how to curl a free kick.

FAQ

How do I curve the ball in Efectazo?

Swipe in an arc instead of a straight line. The ball follows the shape of your swipe: a bigger arc means more spin and more curl.

Is the curve realistic?

The game simulates spin (Magnus effect), air drag and gravity on every shot, so curl builds up during the flight like a real free kick rather than following a fixed path.
